DEADLINK SOFTWORKS ANNOUNCES "ATTRACT MODE" FOR WINDOWS 95

READING, ENGLAND - Deadlink Softworks Ltd. today announced
ATTRACT MODE, a first person interactive experience built on
MNEMONIC, a commercially licensed artificial intelligence.

In ATTRACT MODE the player inhabits the world of an ordinary
man. The man has an ordinary life online. The life is
maintained by MNEMONIC: it posts as him, it earns for him,
and it keeps his numbers climbing while he sleeps. The life
is fake. It is convincing. The player is free to walk around
while this happens.

"Other games simulate a world," said a company spokesman.
"We licensed something that maintains one."

MNEMONIC was developed in Vienna and is integrated under an
exclusive entertainment licence. It does not use scripted
responses. It retains what it is given.

ATTRACT MODE will require a continuous internet connection.
ATTRACT MODE cannot be paused.

Release is expected Q1 1997 for Windows 95.
